Trefriw itself is steeped in history. It is believed that Roman soldiers originally discovered a well spa in the village. The Georgians later developed the site and with enterprising spirit, the Victorians sold the water commercially. Today, if you don’t fancy taking the water, they also do lovely tea and cakes.
